Our work is essentially dedicated to the preparation of (novel) (heterocyclic) organic compounds structurally related to derivatives of pharmacological and/or industrial importance. A special attention is devoted to the optimization of experimental conditions in order to combine economical aspects and respect of the environment (green chemistry).

The main methodologies involved in the research are:
  • use of supported reagents and heterocyclic auxiliaries
  • reactions on soluble polymers and resins
  • reactions in water
  • influence of ultrasound and microwave on reaction rates,...

The preparation of original compounds potentially effective in the treatment of infectious diseases (malaria, pneumonia, tuberculosis, leishmania, …) and neuroprotection currently constitutes a privileged topic of research.
